新修訂版英譯《妙法蓮華經淺釋》是在佛經翻譯委員會於1977年至1988年所出版的第一版十四冊英譯淺釋基礎上，再編譯、彙整、校訂，全套共十五冊。審訂和編輯工作由法界佛教大學國際譯經學院完成。
The new Wonderful Dharma Lotus Sūtra is a new English translation based on the first translation by the Buddhist Text Translation Society published in fourteen volumes between 1977 and 1988. The review and editorial work for this newly translated fifteen volume edition was coordinated by the International Institute for the Translation of Buddhist Texts at Dharma Realm Buddhist University.
其中第一到十四冊是英譯經文及經文淺釋。每一冊淺釋的最末提供詞彙表，用來註釋經文中的所有重要術語。第十五冊附有中英雙語經文。每一頁經文的邊頁空白處提供兩組參考數字，一組數字幫助讀者檢索中英經文對照段落，另一組數字幫助檢索相關淺釋。《法華經》共二十八品。在每一冊的開卷都提供了該冊各品詳盡的綱要。
The first fourteen new volumes include Venerable Master Hua’s commentary on the sutra text. A glossary has been provided at the back of each volume, defining key terminology used throughout.
The additional fifteenth volume is a new bilingual sūtra-only text (Chinese and English.) In Volume 15, throughout the margins of the text, two sets of reference numbers appear to assist readers in cross-referencing the Chinese and English sūtra texts with one another as well as with the commentary text. One set of numbers assists in finding corresponding sūtra lines in both English and Chinese; and the second set of numbers can be used to find the relevant lines of commentary. Outlines of the sutra text for all twenty-eight chapters are provided in the beginning pages of the volumes with commentary.
